The Characteristics of High manganese Steel and Its Application in Crusher Spare Parts
May 24, 2021
High manganese steel material refers to the manganese content of more than 10% of alloy steel, according to the use there are two categories: wear-resistant steel and non-magnetic steel, wear-resistant steel consumption is more, often used in the production of hammer crusher liner plate, grate plate, sieve plate, hammer plate head and more wear-resistant parts, as well as ball mill liner plate.
High manganese steel material is easy to work hardening, processing is difficult, mainly used as casting products.
It has the advantages of good fluidity of the melt and easy casting. The disadvantage is that the volume shrinkage and linear shrinkage rate are large during casting, which is prone to stress and cracks. The high manganese steel with the as-cast structure is very brittle and can not be used directly. At this time, the original austenite, pearlite and carbides are all converted to single-phase austenite, and then water quenched until room temperature. The strength, plasticity and toughness of high manganese steel are greatly improved after treatment.
High manganese steel liner plate and high manganese steel hammer head are very common in the wear-resisting parts of crusher, especially in the working condition with high impact, the surface hardening thickness of high manganese steel can reach 10-20mm, and the hardening layer with high hardness can resist impact abrasion. Under the condition of strong impact, the anti-wear performance is outstanding.
Commonly used in mining, building materials, thermal power and other crushing machinery and equipment, used as wear-resisting parts of the material.
The high manganese steel castings adopt lost mold casting technology, with accurate size, smooth surface and no burr pores, wear resistance and impact resistance.
